YA Indie Carnival: Tunes that inspire!

I’m really excited about Transfer Student. When I wrote the first draft of this story in 2006 many things were going on in my personal and professional life that ended up in the book. The story was also inspired by my years of living in Los Angeles. My hubby and I first moved to LA in 1986. We lived with our kids in a part of the city called Echo Park, nestled in the hills just outside of downtown LA. We had the most amazing home there with one hundred steps to our front door. Here’s a few tracks from the playlist for Transfer Student. I’ll be posting the playlist during the Blog Tour for Transfer Student which starts LEAP DAY! Hope to see you there:) Below read about the ebook ARC giveaway of Transfer Student & check out what music inspires my amazing fellow carnis!

  1. Ugh, wish I wasn’t in study hall and could listen to your tunes! Anyway, good luck with the tour and book launch. I’m looking forward to nosing around the blogosphere for your posts.

    1. 🙂 STUDY HALL IS MORE IMPORTANT! 🙂 Can wait to stop by your blog on March 11th [I HAD TO CHANGE THE DATE…hope that works for you!] Will email stuff this weekend! Super excited…out the door to LA now…thanks for checking out the tunes! #TGIF

  2. I read your post a few nights ago but couldn’t listen to the tunes as hubby was fast asleep beside me and my headphones were downstairs. I couldn’t go get them because I’d been reading a horror story and I was too freaked out to put my toes out of the bed!
So today is another day and I’m finally able to check out my fellow carnis playlists!!
Considering we’re both YA authors, our music choices couldn’t be more different, Laura! Yours are kind of young and hip and mine are, well… not lol!
Good luck with the new book… it sounds AWESOME!

    1. Suzy, LOL! U are cracking me up. You sound so much like me when I read horror. I love the genre but have never tried writing it:) *kneesknocking* Thanks for swinging by. I’m doing the same thing today…checking out the carnis tunes! I love listening to what inspires writers like you! Now I’m super curious about your list! Thanks for the kind words 🙂 Bog tour stars tomorrow…super-squeeee!
