YA Indie Carnival: BOO! Best Indie reads for Halloween

This is a tough one, because when it comes to paranormal, super-scary reads there are so many fabulous books to recommend. But, I have to say that I’m knee-deep in three Indies that I love and I’d be happy to recommend this Halloween. So get your hot apple cider ready, grab a snickers and curl up with these great reads!

Mortal Obligation by Nichole Chase

I don’t blame my recommendation on the enchantment of Savannah or the fun of meeting Nichole on some pretty paranormal circumstances, but rather I blame it on her infectious prose. Crack open Mortal Obligation and know that you are in the hands of a great storyteller!

Family Magic by Patti Larsen is a bit of a surprise. I have to say that the classic witch drama of a girl/woman who wants nothing but to be normal evokes Bewitched and Clarissa Explains it all. But Patti has a new take on the old dilemma that is a fun read. If you like witches you’ll love Family Magic.

What can I say about The Reckoning by M. Leighton except that I can’t wait for it! It releases on Halloween:) YAY!
